WILLIAMSBURG — The Corbin 11-year-old All-Stars kept their District 4 title dreams alive after finding an impressive 30-2 win over the Harlan 11-year-old All-Stars on Tuesday night.

Though his team committed three errors in Tuesday night’s game, Corbin 11-year-old All-Stars Coach Danny Freeman said it was an improvement from Monday night’s 11-5 loss to the South Laurel 11-year-old All-Stars, which saw several defensive errors.

“We played more like a team and our kids played with a fire tonight,” Freeman said.

The Corbin 11-year-old All-Stars strung together 30 runs with 16 runs over the game.

Corbin’s Levi Brock pitched for the entire game where he only allowed Harlan two runs.

“Overall a great performance but we want to keep going,” Freeman said.

In order for the Corbin 11-year-old All-Stars to continue advancing in the District 4 Tournament, they will have to find a win over the Knox County 11-year-old All-Stars today in the second round of the loser’s bracket.

“We have to clean up the errors and just keep those bats going,” Freeman said. “We need to keep the intensity up and just play our game and not let them control the momentum.”

Game time is slated for 8 p.m.
