Dear Sir or Madam,
I found your reporting on the recent food drives by our area colleges curious.
Though you rightly celebrated Cumberlands' students, staff, and faculty raising nearly 22,000 pounds of food this year, your paper completely failed to mention that Union College raised over 31,000 pounds of food for the second year in row, winning the Kentucky Harvest Southeast food drive competition for the third consecutive year! Kudos to Cumberlands, no doubt, but let's give Union her due.
I have deep respect for the Patriots' hard work in 2019 to help feed the less fortunate in our area. But I believe that your readers should also hear about the staggering efforts of Union College's Bulldogs too. In the Christian push to feed all God's children, the sturdy men and women at the Methodist college in Barbourville take a back seat to nobody.
Happy Thanksgiving, and Go Bulldogs!
