WILLIAMSBURG — Nick Wilson won $1 million on the 37th season of Survivor last month and on Monday his hometown of Williamsburg celebrated his accomplishment by naming Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019, Nick Wilson Day and giving Wilson a key to the City of Williamsburg.

During Monday's Williamsburg City Council meeting, Mayor Roddy Harrison made the announcement that Wednesday would be celebrated as Nick Wilson Day.

Whitley County Judge-Executive Pat White, Jr., was also on hand to present Wilson with a proclamation naming Wednesday Nick Wilson Day in Whitley County as well.

State Representative Regina Huff also congratulated Wilson and noted a sign will be placed along Exit 11 off I-75 noting that Williamsburg is the hometown of Wilson.
