On November 7, Whitley County High School FFA won the State Land-Judging Competition for the first time in school history. Team members were Daniel Conway, Jacob Hensley, Naythan Jewell, Chelsey Logan and Leslie Monhollen. The team finished with a score of 1,035, obtained by adding top three scores from team. This team had one of highest scores in competition history. Jacob Hensley had the highest individual score in this competition, scoring a 352 out of possible 360. Daniel Conway had the second highest overall score in the competition, scoring a 344 out of possible 360, and Naythan Jewell had the third highest score in the competition. Whitley County FFA had the top three scores in the state of Kentucky in this competition. The team had previously competed at the regional competition at Eastern Kentucky University on October 17. Whitley County FFA members, Daniel Conway and Naythan Jewell tied for the highest overall individual score at the regional level, and Leslie Monhollen had the third high individual score.
