Two individuals were arrested around 2 p.m. Friday after being seen fleeing from an abandoned vehicle that had been reported stolen.
Matthew Cornett, 28, of Gray, and Natosha Archer, 34, were both charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000.
The arrests occurred off East City Dam Road in southern Laurel County after Laurel County Sheriff's Office deputies received information from Whitley County Constable Ron Bowling that he had observed a man and a woman fleeing from an abandoned 1994 red colored Ford Mustang off KY 770 that was determined to be a reported stolen vehicle out of Whitley County investigated by Whitley County Sheriff's office.
Laurel County deputies searched throughout the woods and area for the two. After an extensive search, they were both found and arrested.
Both were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
