In week three of "Survivor: Island of the Idols," we got to watch a little more action from our local Rockholds woman Elaine Stott.
Elaine has agreed to an all-female alliance and the episode began by showing her and her alliance socializing.
One of the females in the alliance, Karishma, however did not seem as content with the alliance as the rest -- definitely something that Elaine hopefully has an eye for. Karishma accidentally cut herself in this episode and she said in a confessional that she didn't think her tribe would have noticed even if she cut her head off.
Later in the episode Vince, one of Elaine's tribe members, gets taken away to the Island of the Idols where everyone who hasn't been to the island believes the chosen castaway gets the chance to play a game to win an idol.
Viewers and those who have been to the island now know that legendary "Survivor" players Boston Rob and Sandra are there to provide wisdom, mentor the castaways and give them an opportunity to win an idol.
Vince is able to win an idol after sneaking into the other tribe's camp and attempting to light his torch with their fire. However, it was a rainy night so there was no fire. Instead he grabbed ashes from their fire, which was proof enough for Boston Rob and Sandra that he had adaptability skills.
When the two tribes faced each other in this week's immunity challenge, it looked like Elaine's Lairo tribe was going to swim away with the immunity from tribal council this week. With an Olympic swimmer on their team and swimming being the first part of the challenge, the Lairo tribe members were given every opportunity to win.
But, the challenge is never over until it's over -- and the Vokai tribe is apparently a master of the puzzles because the two who completed the puzzle for that tribe completely demolished the two from Lairo.
As Lairo had to go to tribal council and vote out a tribe member, we never got the feeling that Elaine was at risk thankfully, instead Vince and Karishma are the two names that were talked about most, but Tom was also mentioned.
The fear of someone having an immunity idol caused the tribe members to split the vote between Karishma and Vince, while Vince voted for Tom, and Vince ended up getting voted off the island with his hidden immunity in his pocket.
Make sure to check out next week's episode at 8 p.m. Wednesday on CBS.
