A mid-morning car accident in front of Lynn Camp High School in Knox County sent a Corbin woman to the hospital Wednesday.

According to a press release, Flora Cobb, 76, of Corbin, was attempting to turn left onto Kentucky 830 from US 25E when she turned into the path of a vehicle being driven by Catherine Harris, 65, of Jonesborough, Tenn.

Harris was not injured in the accident, and both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Cobb had to be airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition late Wednesday afternoon.

The Kentucky State Police Harlan Post and Knox County EMS responded to the accident.
