LONDON — A missing person case has turned into a death investigation following the discovery of the woman’s body Tuesday.
Danielle Baker, age 31, of Laura Lane, London, was found deceased in the woods behind her residence off Laura Lane on Tuesday at approximately 3 p.m. She was found by her father who notified Laurel 911 dispatch sending the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office to the scene.
Cause of death has yet to be determined and an autopsy is scheduled in Frankfort on Wednesday to assist in the investigation. Baker had been reported missing on Monday and had reportedly been missing from her home since Saturday.
Circumstances of the death are currently under investigation.
Laurel Sheriff's Detective Kyle Gray along with Deputy Robert Reed, Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective Gary Mehler, Detective Bryon Lawson, Deputy Jake Miller, Deputy Travis Napier, Deputy Josh Morgan and Laurel County Coroner Doug Bowling are conducting the death investigation.
Assisting was Laurel County Emergency Management Director Justin Noe, and Ambulance Inc. of Laurel County.
