-- Deputy Josh Morgan along with Sgt. John Inman and Deputy Gary Mehler arrested Joshua C. Hollingshead, age 22, of Corbin on May 9 at approximately 2:10 a.m. The arrest occurred off KY 2392, approximately six miles south of London, after deputies were dispatched to a disturbance complaint there. Upon arrival at the scene deputies located this individual and noted a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from his person. An investigation was conducted and this individual was determined to be under the influence. Joshua Hollingshead was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

-- Laurel Sheriff's Detective Daniel Grigsby along with Deputy Jake Miller and Deputy Taylor McDaniel arrested Adam J. Dragoo, age 46, of Corbin on May 9 at approximately 10:41 a.m. The arrest occurred at the Laurel County Sheriff's Office in London after this subject came to the Sheriff's Office seeking information and while there created a disturbance in the front lobby yelling obscenities in the presence of female clerks and customers. This individual was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

-- Sgt. John Inman along with CSO Judy Morgan arrested Traci Lynn Saylor, age 51, of Flat Lick, Kentucky on May 11 at approximately 1:09 a.m. The arrest occurred off West Cumberland Gap Parkway, in a business parking lot approximately 12 miles south of London, after deputies were dispatched to a complaint of a suspicious subject there attempting to open car doors in the business parking lot and appearing to be under the influence. When deputies arrived at the scene and located the suspect, an investigation was conducted and this individual was determined to be under the influence. Saylor was charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

-- Detective James Sizemore arrested Steven R. Hammons, age 47, of Corbin on May 15 at approximately 11:41 a.m. The arrest occurred off KY 1223, approximately eight miles south of London, after this subject was charged on a Laurel Circuit Court indictment warrant of arrest charging first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance - first offense - methamphetamine; trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of school; trafficking in legend drug - first offense; possession of drug paraphernalia; and possession of marijuana. This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. Assisting on the arrest were Laurel County Sheriff John Root, Maj. Chuck Johnson, Capt. Kevin Berry, Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective Bryon Lawson, and Detective Daniel Grigsby.

-- Sgt. Greg Poynter arrested Imogene W. Cowden, age 62, of Lily on May 16 at approximately 7:04 p.m. The arrest occurred at Walmart in southern Laurel County after Walmart's loss prevention team detained this subject. When Sgt. Poynter arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, he learned that allegedly this individual had been observed attempting to remove items from the store that she hadn't paid for. In addition, this subject was determined to be under the influence. Cowden was charged with theft by unlawful taking under $500 and public intoxication - controlled substances. This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

-- Court Security Officer Judy Morgan along with Court Security Officer Dennis Gilbert arrested Michael Lee Baker, age 27, of Heidrick, Kentucky on May 16 at approximately 3:50 p.m. The arrest occurred at the Laurel County Judicial Center in London after this subject allegedly attempted to enter the judicial center at the security checkpoint and officers detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from him noting that he was observed staggering when walking and had a slurred speech. An investigation was conducted and this individual was determined to be under the influence and was charged with public intoxication - controlled substances and was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

-- Laurel County Sheriff John Root along with Deputy Landry Collett arrested two individuals on US 25 in London on May 16 at approximately 1:33 p.m. The arrests occurred following a traffic stop conducted on a Jeep that was weaving on the roadway. During the traffic stop the driver and passenger were both determined to be under the influence. The two arrested individuals are identified as:

1. the driver of the vehicle Christy M. Messer, age 40, of London charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, careless driving, obstructed wind shield and inadequate silencer.

2. A passenger identified as Lorie Eversole, age 36, of Corbin charged with public intoxication - controlled substances.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.

-- Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Jamie Etherton along with Detective Sgt. Chris Edwards, Detective Bryon Lawson, Bailiff Paige Vanhook, and Bailiff Brent France arrested two individuals on May 22 at approximately 12:51 p.m. The arrests occurred at Walmart in southern Laurel County after Walmart notified deputies through Laurel 911 dispatch that they had encountered a suspicious acting female subject in the store. When deputies arrived at the scene and made contact with the female subject, she stated her sister had left Walmart with a child not hers. Through investigation deputies determined this was a false report. In addition, they determined that this female subject detained was under the influence. They also learned she had apparently been in the store with a male subject and after a search throughout the building deputies located the male subject exiting the store and noted he appeared to be under the influence. An investigation was conducted and the male subject was also determined to be under the influence. In addition, the male subject was found in possession of methamphetamine, cocaine, suspected Suboxone, and suspected Valium. In addition, this subject had a green pipe with a burnt end on it that the male subject stated he uses to smoke meth. Also this individual was found in possession of unpaid merchandise totaling over $247 found concealed in this individual's leather jacket, pants, and inside of his waist band. These two individuals were identified and charged :

1. Joseph Ray Middleton, age 40, of Gray charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance - first offense - methamphetamine, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, public intoxication - controlled substances and theft by unlawful taking - shoplifting under $500.

2. Emily K. Wagers, age 27, of Green Road, Kentucky, charged with falsely reporting an incident and public intoxication - controlled substances.

These two individuals were lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
