The two brothers charged with the murder of a Whitley County man had their bond set at $1 million each, and had another hearing scheduled for Monday.
James W. Anderson and James Allen Anderson are charged with the murder of 35-year-old Larry Jones. According to police reports, both of the brothers admitted to police that they were involved in the murder, but to different degrees. Both pleaded not guilty during a hearing last week.
Jones’ body had been spotted at about 2:30 a.m. June 20 in a rural area near Gatliff. The murder is believed to be the result of a drug exchange gone wrong.
According to Kentucky State Police, the Anderson brothers are the only two believed to be directly involved in the murder, but more arrests may be forthcoming after futher investigations into drug activity.
