Bids for a sign and road work at The Arena were opened Monday at the Corbin commissioners’ meeting.
The city received four bids for a sign with the lowest bid of $89,500 coming from Action Outdoor Faith Signs. The highest bid was $124,325 from Daktronics.
Two bids were opened for the road work, which involves black-topping portions of the road that leads to The Arena.
Kay & Kay submitted a bid totaling about $562,991 for the work while Elmo Greer’s bid totaled about $521,696.
Corbin City Manager Bill Ed Cannon said the city may not be able to have all the road work completed since only $300,000 is budgeted for it.
The board voted to take the bids for both the sign and the road work under advisement.
