Brandon Wood, 26, of Corbin, starred in a musical performance of "The Little Shop of Horrors" April 20-22 at Lincoln Memorial University.

Seymour (right, played by Brandon Wood), the flower shop employee and star of the show, receives an impromptu dental exam from Dr. Orin Schrivello (played by Danny Dykes of Harrogate, Tenn.)

Wood was chosen for the lead role in the production from over 70 auditioners.

Rehearsals lasted 4 days a week for 14 weeks before the first performance.

"It was a long drive over the mountain, "said Wood, "but worth every minute of it as I got to meet some great people and really test my skills as an actor."

Wood is the office manager for Wood Realty Services in Corbin.
