CORBIN — Carolyn M. Smith, Billie D. Jeffers, Brandon L. Gray and Clint L. Johnson are the newest graduates of Laurel County Adult Education and Literacy’s GED program, and the four were awarded their GED diplomas during a commencement ceremony Monday.

Laurel County Jailer Jamie Mosley gave the commencement address. The jailer, instructors and the Adult Education and Literacy staff congratulated them for their academic accomplishment.

The ceremony was the second graduation held by the jail. Mosley told the audience of about 30 people that so far, 54 inmates have gotten their GED’s from the program.
