CORBIN — More than 150 people gathered in front of the Knox County Courthouse steps for a prayer vigil held in honor of Charley Greene Dixon. Dixon recently resigned his post as Knox County attorney when he learned he had cancer.
He is currently out of the hospital and undergoing radiation treatment, according to Claudia Greenwood. Greenwood, along with Michael and Vickie Phipps, organized the prayer vigil that was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Barbourville.
Before and after the vigil, well-wishers took a moment to sign a get-well poster for Charley Greene Dixon.
