A Williamsburg man jailed in the Whitley County Detention Center was indicted Monday in Whitley County Circuit Court before Judge Paul Winchester on two separate indictments.

Sheriff ‘very happy with audit’

Whitley County Sheriff Colan Harrell got some good news Friday after Kentucky’s Auditor of Public Accounts Adam H. Edelen released the audit report of the sheriff’s office’s 2012 financial statement.

A Laurel County man is behind bars after allegedly kidnapping a woman at gunpoint and assaulting her Monday morning.
