CORBIN — Fire erupts at Forest Products Inc.

Emergency responders from nine agencies were called to a fire at Forest Products Inc. in Gray about 8:15 a.m. Monday, according to West Knox Volunteer Fire Rescue Chief Darryl Baker.

Jonathan Foley’s body found

Three arrests were made Sunday in the murder of Barbourville man Jonathan Ryan Foley, 26, who went missing after a trip to a local store Nov. 6.

Tourism Commission buys new Christmas lights

Some new Christmas lighting will be going up on three Corbin streets in the weeks ahead after the Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission voted to approve buying the lighting during their regular meeting Monday.

More than 31,000 pounds of cargo was dumped onto a London street early Monday morning, according to Kentucky State Police-Vehicle Enforcement Public Affairs Officer Steven Douglas.

Jobs not coming to Senture

A call center contract issued last week for Senture LLC’s facilities in London and Monticello to provide call center support for victims of Superstorm Sandy along the East Coast has been stopped by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Woman sent to hospital after one-vehicle crash

Conditions were rainy and wet Monday morning in Corbin when a one-vehicle accident on 5th Street Road (KY 727) near Alsip Trail sent this 2002 Ford Explorer into a fence and a young woman to the hospital for observation.
