A Louden woman woke up around 9 a.m. Monday to find her front yard covered with what she thought was snow, only to learn a tractor-trailer overturned in her yard and spilled its contents — white ammonium nitrate.

A Corbin woman was indicted in Whitley County Circuit Court before Judge Paul Winchester Monday for theft after allegedly stealing $30,000.

Grammy nominated singer John Waite has joined the 2014 NIBROC musical lineup. The Lancaster, England born rock star will take the NIBROC stage at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, according to Southern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Director Bruce Carpenter.

    It’s never too early to talk about what games will be the big ones for the Tri-County high school football fans to watch this upcoming season. I’ve tried to narrow my list down to 10 games, but honestly, it really wasn’t easy to do — but I did manage to do it.
    Let’s just say things should be very entertaining, and interesting, for you the fan this season.
