A portion of Hwy. 770 is closed following a two-vehicle crash about a half a mile from Interstate 75, according to Laurel County Sheriff John Root.
It is expected the closure will continue until about 6 p.m. as crash investigators work. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes.
Senior Sgt. Greg Poynter, Deputy Robbie Grimes, and Lt. Chuck Johnson, who is an accident reconstructionist, are on the scene conducting the investigation. Keavy Volunteer Fire Department is assisting with traffic control.
