Battle against hemlock-killing insect continues at Cumberland Falls park

The yearly battle against a bug that is decimating Kentucky’s hemlock population continues this year as volunteers and state workers treat hemlock trees in Cumberland Falls State Resort Park for infestations of a nasty pest.

    It’s called “A musical within a comedy,” and Thursday night at the Betty Hamilton Center for Performing Arts at Corbin High School, CHS Redhound Theatre pulled out the stops for their production of “The Drowsy Chaperone,” a parody of American musical comedy in the 1920’s.
