A “60 Minutes” interview with a former Times-Tribune managing editor and a former reporter who helped uncover corruption in former Whitley County sheriff Lawrence Hodge’s office is set to air Sunday.

The segment, featuring Samantha Swindler and Adam Sulfridge, will include an interview filmed in January at the Times-Tribune office in Corbin.

Swindler and Sulfridge are credited for their reporting on Hodge, which revealed missing evidence — including drugs and guns — from Hodge’s office.

State audits of the office have revealed a known deficit of at least $240,000.

Last May, Hodge pleaded guilty to federal charges of money laundering, extortion and drug distribution. On Sept. 28 in London’s U.S. District Court, he was sentenced to 15 and a half years for those federal charges.

Hodge also faces a 21-count indictment on state charges after a special grand jury looked into reported wrongdoings in his office. The indictment charges Hodge with 12 counts of abuse of public trust over $10,000, six counts of abuse of public trust less than $10,000 and three counts of tampering with evidence.
