North Laurel ends season for Cardinals

CORBIN — By Chris Parsons / Staff Writer

The North Laurel Jaguars advanced to the finals of the 49th District Soccer Tournament with a 3-1 win over crosstown tival South laurel Tuesday, ending the season for the Cardinals.

The Jaguars will now move on to face Corbin in the finals and win or lose, advance to next week's 13th Region Tournament.

North Laurel took advantage of first-half goals by Joshua carter, Hunter Riley and Levi Seidel en route to a 3-0 halftime lead.

South Laurel's Jacob Beckham trimmed the gap to 3-1 late in the match, but the Cardinals could get no closer as they fell, 3-1.
