WHITLEY COUNTY — The Whitley County Colonels closed the regular season on a high note Thursday, cruising to a 5-2 win over Clinton County to improve to 8-6 on the season.
The win came as the Colonels celebrated senior night and head coach Bosko Cupac said he couldn’t be more proud of his team for the way they finished the season.

The Colonels got the scoring started in the first half on a pair of goals by Bruno Pontes to take a 2-0 lead before Hunter Keltner scored to put Whitley County on top 3-0 at halftime.

Cupac said he feels like his team has done a tremendous job of improving as the season has progressed, speaking of how they have improved in many different aspects of the game.
