TIMES TRIBUNE (CORBIN, Ky.)
CORBIN — EDITORIAL
I hope everyone liked the first edition of “The Endzone” this past week, and I hope this week’s edition provides you the best coverage of all of the Tri-County football teams.
We continue to strive to be the best each week, and in this edition, I really believe you’ll like the features that staff writer Chris Parsons and ‘“The Endzone” correspondent John Stepp provided in today’s Week One edition.
Parsons’ feature on former Lynn Camp coach David Mitchell stands out because of Mitchell’s visit back to the Tri-County.
Mitchell is now an assistant coach at Perry Central, and the Commodores faced off against Corbin during Friday’s battle in the Cumberland Falls Pigskin Classic. Stepp’s features on North Laurel’s ‘Thunder and Lightning’ duo of Gabe Blair and Michael Nelson are top notch as well.
Blair and Nelson are two important pieces to North Laurel’s puzzle this season and Stepp’s feature allows you to get to know the players even better.
His feature on Williamsburg’s ‘Double Trouble’ wide receiving tandem of Corey Shelton and Skyler Griffith is another impressive feature written by Stepp. Shelton and Griffith are two of the best receivers in the state, and Stepp’s feature about the two shows just how much these two teammates support each other. So sit back, and enjoy this week’s edition of “The Endzone.”
