LYNN CAMP — The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats dug themselves an early hole, losing the first set to Harlan Thursday, but rallied in fine fashion to pick up their 12th win of the season, defeating the Lady Green Dragons, 21-25, 25-13 and 15-10.
Lynn Camp (12-5) was coming off a four-set loss to Bell County and coach Cody Dixon labeled Thursday’s match-up with Harlan a must-win game, and his Lady Wildcats answered the call.
“We came out in the first set and let Harlan steal one from us,” Dixon said. “In the second set, we came to play, and jumped out to a 20-3 advantage and continued strong the rest of the game for a win.
“Jessica May stepped up with several kills in the final two games, which got us over the top,” he added. “I’m proud of the way the girls responded tonight. It was a great bounce back win after a heartbreaking loss Tuesday (against Bell County).”
