CORBIN — The Corbin Redhounds got one final tune-up against Wayne County before an all-important showdown with North Laurel Thursday that will decide the district’s top seed.
Corbin came away winners in a 9-2 pounding of the Cardinals, getting goals from nine different players in the contest.
Jesse Hyde, Lucas Canineu, Tim Brock, Alex Thompson, Kody Morris, Walker Phillips, Jerry Reed Drew Cooney and Ben Childers all found the net as Armando Cima’s squad cruised to the win.
Cima said he was pleased with the win as well as the fact his team got to work on some things before Thursday’s match with North Laurel.
“We got to get some guys in the game that have worked hard in practice and deserbed some playing time,” Cima said. “We also got to work on some things that we wanted improve upon, so it was a productive day overall.”
