DANVILLE — The South Laurel Lady Cardinals (5-0-1) kept their unbeaten streak intact Tuesday with a 4-0 win over Danville on the road, picking up the team’s second shutout of the season.
Karli Parker tallied three of the Lady Cardinals four goals, giving her a state-best total of 18 on the season, while Kristen White added the fourth en route to the victory.
After the win, South Laurel head coach Todd White said he was excited about the win, but more excited about the way his team went about getting the victory.
“This was one of the most well-played soccer matches I have ever seen our girls play and maybe even at this level,” White said. “We had Danville fans coming up and giving us credit for the way our girls played after the match and as a coach, that really makes you feel goof about your program.”
