LYNN CAMP — The Lynn Camp Wildcats split a pair of games against June Buchanan Tuesday, dropping the opener 21-11, while winning the second game, 10-7.
The win improved the Wildcats to 2-22 on the season and gave head coach Marc Estep reason to credit his team for several areas of improvement this season.
“We hit the ball well and we’ve done that all season really, “ Estep said. “The thing has been a lack of timely hits with guys on base and our pitching has really hurt us as well.
“A lot of it, actually 90 percent of the hurdle we’re facing is mental,” he added. “Our kids have to learn to get past the last play and move on to the next play.”
