LYNN CAMP — The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats fell to 16-8 on the season Tuesday, dropping a 3-0 (21-25, 17-25 and 16-25) loss to Clay County at home.
The loss was the second this season to the Lady Tigers, who have now won eight matches on the season, two of which have come against Lynn Camp.
Lady Wildcats head coach Cody Dixon said he felt like the effort his team put forth Tuesday was good, but in the end mistakes cost his team the win.
“The effort was there tonight, but we made way too many mistakes to win the match,” Dixon said. “The ball didn’t bounce our way tonight.
“Clay County did an excellent job by capitalizing on our mistakes,” he added. “Our mistakes, along with a lack of mistakes by them, were something we could not overcome.”
Despite the loss, Jessica May led the Lady Wildcats with 13 kills and five blocks in the contest.
