BELL COUNTY - The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats fell to 14-6 on the season after losing a hard-fought five set match to Bell County.
Lynn Camp lost the first set, 25-17, before picking up a 25-20 win in second-set action.
The Lady Wildcats dug themselves another by losing the third set, 25-21, but manged to force a fifth and final set by winning the fourth set, 25-19.
Cody Dixon's squad ran out of steam in the final set, losing 15-5.
“Another tough loss,” Dixon said. “We battled in four sets and completely just quit in the fifth set. I was happy with the effort up till the end and we just gave it to them.
“Bell always responded when we would make a run,” he added. “Our girls just crumbled when the pressure was on which is something we have to get better at. We have been right there in most of our losses this year and keep losing the close ones with lazy mistakes at the end.”
The Lady Wildcats will try to get back in the win column Thursday with a game on the road against Whitley County. The two teams met on Sept. 3 with the Lady Colonels coming away with a 25-4, 25-7 and 25-11 win.
