First round action of high school football is in the books and now it’s time to take a seat and look at what we learned this past week.

Local teams, individuals shine in regional meets

High schools across the Tri-County participated in the respective class’ regional cross-country races this past weekend with many teams and individuals turning in solid results.

Wildcats’ struggles continue with 40-0 loss to Vandy

LEXINGTON (AP) — Kentucky was shut out against Vanderbilt for the first time since 1968, a 40-0 loss Saturday that left the Wildcats one game away from a winless Southeastern Conference schedule.
