Knox Central

The Knox Central Panthers split a doubleheader with Boyle County as they picked up a 9-8 win, but dropped a 12-1 decision on the road.

The victory was a back-and-forth affair as the Panthers grabbed an early lead, fell behind 8-6 in the sixth inning, and had to score three runs to get the win in the sixth inning.

South Laurel

South Laurel dropped a 7-4 decision to Mercer County Saturday, dropping the Cardinals to 18-6 on the season. The loss was the third in the past five games for a team that had won nine straight at one point.

South Laurel will be back in action today as it hosts Knox Central at 5:30 p.m.

Corbin

After trailing 1-0 for the first three innings, Corbin took a 2-1 lead with a pair of runs in the fourth, but couldn’t hold on.
