LYNN CAMP — The Corbin Lady Redhounds cranked out 25 hits Friday as they cruised to a 36-0 win over Lynn Camp.

As if that wasn’t enough, Lady Redhounds’ starter Hannah Hart pitched a three-inning no-hitter to help lead her team to the win.

All but two of Corbin’s players recorded at least one hit and one RBI in the win.

The game was a welcome sight for Corbin, giving coach Chris Hart a chance to play some of his younger players in a varsity situation, while his team tries to get back on track following a recent four-game skid with its second straight win.

“We got to play a lot of kids once we started subbing down the bench,” hart said. “This gave us a chance to get some of the kids that don’t normally see varsity action in the game and let them get comfortable as well.

“Our kids hit the ball well and did the things we asked them to do,” he added. “Hannah pitched well for us and with a no-hitter going, I won’t pull any pitcher out of the game, so I felt like I had to leave her in there.”

Corbin jumped ahead early, scoring 16 runs in the first inning after sending 19 batters to the plate.

A six-run second inning increased the gap to 22-0 after the second inning and Hart’s squad added 14 in the third to make the lead 36-0.

Hart set the Lady Wildcats down in order to close out the third inning and the game for the win.

Corbin will be back in action Monday as they travel to Rockcastle County for a 5:30 p.m. start before heading to South Laurel for a 50th District showdown on Tuesday.
