Updated Little League Baseball and Softball brackets released

CORBIN — By Les Dixon / Sports Editor

Little League All-Star action begins next weekend with the girls starting with the 9-10 year-old and 11-12 year-old divisions while boys action will begin a couple of days later.

Brackets for each respective boys’ and girls’ tournaments have been released as well.

District Minor League Girls

At North Laurel Little League Complex

North Laurel and Hazard will start things off June 24 at 8 p.m. against Hazard.

 Corbin and Pulaski County will play June 25 at 4 p.m. and face-off against the winner of South London and Tri-City.

The championship game is scheduled to be played on July 2 at 7 p.m.

District Little League Girls

At North Laurel Little League Complex

Hazard and Corbin will play each other at 2 p.m. June 22 with the winner moving on to play Tri-City June 23 at 2 p.m. North Laurel and South London is scheduled to play June 22 at 4 p.m. with the winner moving on to play Knox County June 23 at 4 p.m. Clay County and Pulaski County are scheduled to play on June 22 at 6 p.m.

The championship is scheduled to be played on July 1 at 7 p.m.

District Junior League Girls

At North Laurel

South London plays Leslie County at 6 p.m. on July 8 while Tri-City and Harlan plays at 8 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for July 11 at 7 p.m.

Area 2 Minor League Boys

At South London

Corbin Red and North Laurel Blue will play June 29 at 2 p.m. and the winner advances on to play South London on June 30 at noon. Clay County No. 1 and Corbin White will play on June 29 at 4 p.m. with the winner facing the winner of Clay County No. 2 and North Green at 6 p.m.

Area 3 Minor League Boys

At Williamsburg

Middlesboro and Williamsburg will play June 29 at 6 p.m. while Pineville/Bell will play Knox County at 8 p.m.

Area 2 Little League Boys

At Corbin Rotary Park

Corbin and North Laurel play July 1 at 6 p.m. while Clay County and South London play at 8 p.m.

Area 3 Little League Boys

At Williamsburg

Knox County and Williamsburg play July 1 at 7 p.m. while M’boro and Pine/Bell play at 9 p.m.

District 11 Year-Old Boys

At Harlan

Middlesboro faces off against South London July 6 at 5 p.m. and the winner will play Harlan July 7 at 2 p.m. North Laurel and Knox County will play July 6 at 7 p.m. with the winner playing Corbin July 7 at 4 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for July 11 at 7 p.m.

District Junior Boys

At Hazard

South London and Hazard open things up July 9 at 6 p.m. while North Laurel and Corbin will meet up at 8 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for July 10 at 6 p.m.

District Senior Boys

At Harlan

Harlan and Leslie County will play July 11 at 8 p.m. and the winner will face Clay County July 12 at 6 p.m. North Laurel and Hazard will play July 11 at 6 p.m.

The championship game is scheduled for July 15 at 7 p.m.
