Whitley County drops second straight with loss to Rock

CORBIN — By Chris Parsons / Staff Writer

WHITLEY COUNTY — The Whitley County Colonels had their seven-game win streak snapped Friday as they fell to Rockcastle County in a 5-0 shutout.

As a team, the Colonels managed just one hit en route to the loss and were never able to recover from a five-run second inning.

Stevie Watson was hit with the loss after giving up five runs (two unearned) through two innings, with a pair of walks and three strikeouts before giving way to Jordan Crusenberry.

Crusenberry pitched five scoreless innings, but the Colonels were unable to get on the scoreboard.
