FORT WALTON BEACH, FLA. — The Corbin Lady Redhounds spotted Henry County a 4-0 lead before rallying to pick up an impressive 9-8 win.

The Lady Redhounds had to overcome seven errors to improve to 4-2 on the season, as Hannah Hart picked up the win on the mound after allowing only one earned run and seven hits while finishing the game with five strikeouts.

Katie Bernardo led the way at the plate for Corbin, going 2-for-3 with three runs scored and a double while Hart was 1-for-5 with a hit and two RBIs and teammate Whitley Gatliff also had a hit and drove in two runs during the win.

Henry County built a 4-0 edge at the end of the third inning, but the Lady Redhounds responded with a five-run effort in the top of the fourth inning, as Gatliff’s two-run double highlighted the inning.

Corbin took advantage of some Henry County miscues, as Sydney Reynolds scored on a passed ball to give her team a 5-4 edge.

The Lady Redhounds’ lead grew to 6-4 with a run in the top of the fifth inning, but Henry County responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning to take an 8-6 advantage.

But Corbin never folded.

Henry County’s lead was short-lived, as the Lady Redhounds responded with three runs in the top of the sixth inning to take the lead for good at 9-8.
