Lynn Camp wins Pine Mountain Classic

PINEVILLE — The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats won their second consecutive Pine Mountain Classic tournament, defeating Pineville by a score of 51-45 in Saturday's final game of the evening.

Richard Jones' squad picked up three wins in two days over Knott County Central, Cumberland Gap, Tenn. and Pineville respectively.

The tournament victory improves Lynn Camp to 11-1 on the season.

The Lady Cats were led in scoring Saturday evening by senior Jessica May who blazed the nets with 28 points in the championship game against the Lady Mountain Lions.

The win serves as the last game of the holiday season for Lynn Camp who will open 2014 against district rival Barbourville on Jan. 4, at Barbourville High School. It will be the first meeting between the two schools on the season.
