CORBIN — Whitley knocks off Bell Co.

The Whitley County Lady Colonels improved to 10-4 on the season with a 25-11, 25-20 and 25-13 win over the Lady Bobcats.

Lady Cardinals cruise to an easy win over Clay

The South Laurel Lady Cardinal volleyball team took care of business against Clay County Wednesday and cruised to an easy 25-14, 25-10 and 25-10 win to improve to 5-1 on the season.

The Lady Cardinals jumped on the Lady Tigers (1-6) thanks to their serve play and never looked back.

Corbin gets back on track

Amerah Dixon scored four goals to help Corbin snap a two-game losing skid, as the Lady Redhounds defeated Somerset, 7-1.

South Laurel clinches 49th District’s top seed

Eleven different players scored during South Laurel’s 12-0 win over Whitley County Tuesday, which also wrapped up the 49th District’s No. 1 seed for the Lady Cardinals.

Defending 13th Region champion Corbin defeats Lynn Camp in two sets

The Corbin Lady Redhounds recovered from a rough weekend outing, where they lost their first match of the season, with a 25-9 and 25-12 win over Lynn Camp.
