WILLIAMSBURG — It’s not always how you start that matters, but how you finish.

The Williamsburg Lady Jackets started slow Thursday, but when all was said and done, they posted their best offensive showing of the season, knocking off Oneida Baptist Institute, 63-46.

Lexie Boggs led the Lady Jackets with a 15-point effort, but her teammates weren’t far behind in the scoring column. Terrah Davis finished with 14, while Kacie Brown and Haley Harris scored 13 and 12, respectively.

After the win, Williamsburg head coach Andrea Ellis said she was pleased with the way her squad played together en route to the victory.

“The past few games we’ve really started to play together as a team, which I think has been the difference in whether we win or lose,” Ellis said. “We had a lot of people contributing tonight, which is one of the big conversations I had with my girls before the game.”

Williamsburg will be back in action Saturday afternoon as it hosts Barbourville.
