SOUTH LAUREL — Harlan native Matt Rhymer was introduced as the sixth head coach of the South Laurel football program Tuesday.

HARLAN — With his Lady Panthers trailing by five points midway through the fourth quarter on Tuesday at Harlan, Knox Central coach Darren Mills wasted no time getting to the point during a timeout.

South Laurel’s perimeter defense key in 57-47 win over Williamsburg

SOUTH LAUREL — South Laurel coach Jeff Davis knew Williamsburg’s strength is its perimeter shooting, so he stressed defense the entire time to his players leading up to Tuesday’s matchup with the Yellow Jackets.

Devon Mills hits buzzer-beater to give Tigers win over Knox Central

For the second time in as many games the Knox Central Panthers dropped a district game, this time at the hands of their cross-town rival the Barbourville Tigers in a 44-42 overtime thriller.
