NORTH LAUREL — The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcat tennis team picked up an impressive 5-4 win over North Laurel while the Jaguars handed Lynn Camp a 2-0 loss in match play before recording a 5-4 win over Oneida Baptist.
“I was very impressed with Lynn Camp's girls last year, and they have a bright future with the youth and interest level they have there,” North Laurel coach Bob Smith said. “We were able to dominate at the top of the lineup, but our Achilles heel is our depth. We're just very young and inexperienced this season. When you have a number of girls that are just picking up the game, you're going to take your lumps. We'll just have to continue to work and get better.
“Since Lynn Camp only had two boys, we were able to schedule Oneida back for another match this week,” he added. “This is really good for both of us because we're very evenly matched, and most of the courts are very competitive. I was happy with the guys pulling out the win tonight after losing to them earlier in the week. I thought we showed more fight tonight, and we had to have that to pull out the team win.”

It’s never too early to talk about what games will be the big ones for the Tri-County high school football fans to watch this upcoming season. I’ve tried to narrow my list down to 10 games, but honestly, it really wasn’t easy to do — but I did manage to do it.
Let’s just say things should be very entertaining, and interesting, for you the fan this season.

Shelton was a hero by any definition
The word hero is used a little too loosely for my taste these days.
To be honest, it’s been used way too much for a long time and I’m just as guilty as the next guy.
