Wildcats continue to impress with 74-40 win

LYNN CAMP — The Lynn Camp Wildcats picked up a 74-40 win over the Kentucky School for the Deaf Tuesday, thanks to a 27-point effort from Austin Maier.

The Wildcats led early and often as they jumped out to a 22-4 lead at the end of the first quarter and pushed the gap to 44-18 by the time halftime rolled around.

The Wildcats outscored KSD 30-22 in the second half to close out the 74-40 win, improving to 10-11 on the season.

After the win, Lynn Camp coach Clyde Dixon said he was happy with the win and the way his team executed.

“This was a good win over an admirable group of kids,” Dixon said. “They give 100 percent of their abilities and have fun playing the game.

“We had three guys with outstanding performances,” he added. “Hopefully we can keep playing well because we have a big game this Friday against Casey County and we’ll be looking for out third win in a row.”
