KNOX CENTRAL — Brian Evans’ Knox Central Panthers ran their win streak to a season-best four games after upending Riverside Christian Tuesday, 56-30.
The Panthers (10-4) are without the services of starting guard Matt Barger due to a hip injury but still managed to improve to 10-4 after defeating the Rams by 24 points.
“It was a good win for us,” Evans said. “We really wanted to get a game in, so we can stay in rhythm and I believe this allowed us to do that. It’s good to get a win like this before going into a tough stretch of games coming up.”
Thirteen different players scored in the game for Knox Central, as Blaine Wyatt led the way with a nine-point effort.
“We were able to get a lot of our younger guys in today and that was big for us,” Evans said. “We have had a lot of close games this year and to get our younger guys some more experience is good.
“Our top six guys only played two minutes and then we started getting our younger guys in,” he added.
