NORTH LAUREL — With expectations at a fever pitch this season for the North Laurel Jaguars, Chris Larkey and his team gave fans a glimpse of what to expect when the regular season kicks off next week.
The Jaguars cruised to a 49-12 win over Letcher County Central, giving Larkey plenty to smile about as he gets set to open the season with what could be one of the best teams North Laurel has ever fielded.
“I thought we had a lot of intensity and I really thought our kids played fairly fast football,” Larkey said. “I was happy with the way our offensive line did in run-blocking as well as pass-blocking.
“Overall it was a good effort by our kids, but we still have a few things to improve on and we’ll work on those this week in practice,” he added.
