Williamsburg places first in Frost Bite Relays

WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Lady Yellow Jacket track team took home first place honors with 86 points during this past weekend's Williamsburg Frost Bite Relays while Knox Central placed second with 85. Corbin (76 points), Pulaski County (55), Southwestern (45.5), South Laurel (22.5) and North Laurel (16) followed.

Pulaski County took home top honors on the boys' side with 115.5 points while Corbin placed second with 65 points. Cumberland County (50 points), Knox Central (48), Southwestern (43.5), South Laurel (33), Williamsburg (22) and North Laurel (20) rounded out the eight-team field.

Girls

Williamsburg had first place winners in the 100 Meter Hurdles (Natalie Croley, - 17.2), the 4x200 Meter Relay (Miranda Peace, Kaylee Akins, Haley Harris and Fhazenaeh Jackson - 1:57.3), the 4x400 Meter Relay (Sarah Perkins, Haley Harris, Kacie Brown and Kaylee Akins - 4:36.7) and Pole Vault (Miranda Peace - 7-06)

Knox Central took home first place honors in the 4x100 Meter Relay (Haley Brown, Casey Mitchell, Jazemene Taylor and Cassi Shippy - 55.5), 4x100 Relay Thrower (Ashley Visosa, Markelle Smith, Andrea Dumphord and Kaley Owens - 1:07.8), 800 Sprint Medley (Brown, Taylor, Mitchell, Shippy - 2:00.5), High Jump (Haley Brown - 4-04) and Long Jump (Cassi Shippy - 7.75).

Corbin finished first in the Discus Throw (Chelsea Gibbs - 76-10.50)

Boys

Corbin placed first in the 4x100 Meter Relay thrower (Grant Grigsby,Dakota Robertson, Kaleb Maguet and Jonathan Hubbard - 52.9)
