SOUTH LONDON – The Corbin Junior League All-Stars got off to a hot start and picked up a 13-3 win over South London in five innings on Sunday.
Jaxon Stewart set the pace early for Corbin with a two-run triple. Tanner Barnes hit an RBI single and Drew Carter scored to give Corbin a 4-0 advantage.
Michael May, Cole Brock and Ryan VanNorstran all pitched for Corbin. May and Brock each struckout two batters and VanNorstran fanned four batters to close out the game.
Corbin led 6-3, but exploded in the fourth inning with five runs to take a 13-3 lead and put the game out of reach.
Corbin will face North Laurel today at 6 p.m. at the South London Little League fields. The games were moved to South London due to rain.

After losing four straight games just two weeks ago, the Corbin Redhounds have bounced back to win seven of their last eight, including back-to-back district wins over the South Laurel Cardinals.
