BARBOURVILLE — Austin Rudder turned in a solid performance at the plate to guide North Laurel past Barbourville Thursday, 12-0.
Rudder connected with a home run and led the Jaguars with three RBIs while teammate Austin Thompson kept the Tigers’ batters at bay at the plate.
“This was a good win for us,” North Laurel coach Darrin McWhorter said. “It’s always nice to get a win like this and get everyone out there and see some playing time.”
North Laurel (10-8) scored six runs in the second inning and added six more in the third while winning its season-best third game in a row.
“We’re playing better,” McWhorter said. “We’ve been battling tooth and nail and it’s nice to come away with a win like this.”
