The Williamsburg High School band and choir preformed for Whitley County courthouse workers, community members, and their fellow students at the courthouse Tuesday.
“The Brown Bag Bash” is the annual fundraising event for the band and choir where volunteers cook hot dogs and polish sausages and sell them as bag lunches.
“We’ve been doing it 15 years now, and it’s always been a really good event for fundraising,” said Nannie Hays, Williamsburg band director. “Plus it’s a nice day for the high schoolers, with only nine days or something like that, it’s a good break.”
Hays said that Andy Croley donated new T-shirts for the band to wear for the event, “Andy’s always been a great supporter.”
The band played songs from The Beatles among other popular songs, and the choir sang songs from “Grease.”
