General Medlin, 84, of Gray, Ky., passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at Christian Health Center.
He was the son of the late Gassie Dan and Florence Ola Cox Medlin, born March 6, 1925, in Gray. He was a retired coal miner with the coal industry and of the Holiness faith.
Preceded in death by father, Gassie Dan Medlin; mother, Florence Ola Cox Medlin; wife, Oma P. Medlin; son, Earnest Franklin Medlin; and son-in-law, Glenn Edwin Moore.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at Corbin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Wilson and Rev. Roger Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Gray Cemetery.
The General Medlin family will receive friends today (Wednesday), Feb. 10, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. at the Corbin Funeral Home.
He is survived by daughters, Helen Medlin Moore of Corbin, Doris Medlin Wilson (Rev. Glen) of Corbin, and Florence Ola Medlin of Knoxville, Tenn.; raised as a brother, Danny Lee Medlin of Keavy; sisters, Arlene Flagg of Gray and Exona Martin of Corbin; sister-in-law, Bonnie Medlin of Gray; grandchildren, Dana Sarver, Tamme Jacob, Kelly Overbey, and Glen Wesley Moore; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Sarver, Savanah Sarver, Haven Glen Jacob, Skylar Renee Jacob, Blake Overbey, and Kenley Overbey; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
