Darrell Sharp

CORBIN —

Darrell “Badeye” Dean Sharp, age 72, of London, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

Dean entered into this life on April 4, 1940, in Knox County, the son of the Ernest Taylor and Amanda Jane Sharp, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a bulldozer operator and will be remembered for his love of playing the guitar.

Dean will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Trisha Sharp, of London; three sons: George Sharp (Robin), of Warren, Mich., Darrel Sharp of Warren, Mich., and Robert Lawson (Sandra), of Oklahoma; a daughter: Patricia Underwood, of Chesterfield, Mich.; two brothers: E.J. Sharp (Theresa), of Keavy, and Scillus Sharp (Allie), of London; five grandchildren: Stephanie Lang, Amanda Dulley, Sarah Allen, Craig Underwood and Amber Underwood; three great-grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors.

He is preceded in death by a son: James Everett Lawson; two brothers: Russell Ray Sharp and James Dexter Sharp; three sisters: Mattie Marie Manhole, Joyce Partin and Betty Sharp; and his parents: Ernest Taylor and Amanda Jane Vaughn Sharp.

 Funeral services for Mr. Dean Sharp will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at the Corbin Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Romines officiating. Interment will follow in the Stansbury Cemetery.

 Friends may call today (Tuesday, March 5, 2013, from 6-9 p.m. at the Corbin Funeral Home.
