Katherine Hall

CORBIN —

Mrs. Katherine Y. Hall, age 51 of Corbin, passed away on Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.

Katherine entered into this life on Sept. 15, 1961, in LaFollette, Tenn., the daughter of Christine Austin and the Late Willis R. Evans. She was a radio news director and was united in marriage to Chuck Ledford, with whom she shared a wonderful life. Katherine was a member of the First Baptist Church of Corbin, where she was an active part of Children’s Church. She was past president of the PTO at Corbin Primary, Girl Scout Leader for Troop 1157, an active participant with the Kentucky PRIDE Program and most of all she was a proud and loving mother.

Katherine will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Chuck Ledford, of Corbin; her daughter, Cierra Ledford, of Corbin; her mother, Christine Austin, of Corbin; two brothers, Dennis Hall and Timothy Hall (Carolyn), of Maryland; two sisters, Willa Collins (John), of Tennessee, and Regina Davis (Charles), of Missouri; a special nephew, Jimmy Evans (Heather); six nephews; three nieces; one great-nephew and three great-nieces and a host of friends and neighbors.

She is preceded in death by her father, Willis R. Evans.

A memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Corbin with Bro. Jim Hunter and Mike Douglas officiating. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday at the First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Katherine may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
